Housing = Frustrating

So we found a nice little place in a good neighborhood for cheap. Here are a few pictures. We talked to the lady and we told her we wanted it, so she said that she would send us an application and stuff for referrals and that. Then this morning we get an email from her saying that she rented it to someone else. Now we are unhappy.

The major things that are frustrating are the following:
1. most of the places to rent are kinda small for our growing family, not terrible, but especially not comfy for others when they come visit.
2. Most of the rentals that aren't real small, are real old. Like Brigham Young could have built some of these places.
3. The nice, larger houses are cheap. We can't get one, at least as far as we have tried, but they are within grasp it feels like. This one is around the corner from the place we tried to rent.

Grrrr...

We continue to try and find a place that will work.

Tyler posted this, no matter what blogger says.

House Hunting

We are here in the far reaches of the Mid-West (Bree has seen what that exactly entails now...), we are looking for a house. We meet with a Realtor tomorrow as well as a few people that have some things up for grabs at the school. We will keep you posted on what happens as it happens.

And we have found a killer steak place, for those of you who wish to visit.

Another Zoo Day

The weather has been so beautiful the past couple of days that we decided to go to the Zoo again. I love going to the Zoo because I love watching my girls reaction to the animals. They absolutely love being there. Annie was so taken with the Rhino's today and every time we walked by she would snort. Maybe she thought she was communicating with them! Hallie just loves all animals and I had to run to keep up with her as she ran from one to the next. Plus, she had her friends Cole and Brenna with her. This only adds up to more running and keeping up with. This is the only picture I could snap of her. She thought it was quite funny to be running from me. That is something that I have learned to love- how they can make everything into a game and make it fun! Children really can teach us so much.

Swimming Lessons!

We put Hallie in swimming lessons in hopes that she would learn to swim! Crazy concept but we really thought it would help. The only problem is that in order to learn to swim you actually have to get in the water. She had a hard time getting in the water and spent the first 25 minutes of the lesson (it's a half hour lesson) sitting on the side of the pool. But then she finally got the nerve up and decided to wanted to try the kicking thing. So she ventured over to the ladder and climbed in. The teacher was thrilled, he has 5 kids in the class and only one was in the water! He took her down the pool and back and that was enough for Hallie. But the good thing is she did get in the water and she did it all on her own. We have high hopes of next Saturday!!

A Big Accomplishment....

As you all know we have a playground right out our front door. My girls absolutely love going out there in the Summer time and especially love the slides. Annie has been going down the two little ones by herself for awhile now but always makes me go with her on the big ones. Yesterday was a big day for her and she braved the big curly slide. Hallie and I would get up there with her and go down the slide a little bit and then she would follow. She was doing it all by herself in the next 10 minutes and was so proud of herself. Then she decided to put her shoes back on. What we forgot to realize was that they were not the slippery shoes at all. Her first go at it with her shoes on turned into a flip and headfirst journey down the slide. She bonked her nose, cried for a minute, and then turned right around and kept going. She really has so much courage for a little guy. The best thing is now she can play with the big kids on the slide. Their favorite game is to try and knock each other over. Annie got pretty good at it. That's probably because she was taught by the pro herself ( Hallie).

Princess' on Ice

We took Hallie and Annie to the Disney on Ice show last Friday. I wasn't sure how they would both react to it but they absolutely loved it. Hallie wore her Cinderella dress and shoes (everyone stared at her because of the shoes!) and Annie wore her Snow White dress. Annie had fallen asleep on the way to it and it took her a minute to wake up and really like the show (actually it took eating popcorn and sprite) her favorite part was when Goofy came out! Hallie sat on the edge of her seat the whole time and would only look away from the show when she wanted to tell us who just came out. Surprising but her favorite part was when the wicked stepsisters of Cinderella came out. She laughed and wanted them to come back out. We left our camera in the car (we thought you couldn't bring it in) so we don't have any pictures but just know it was a blast!

And the winner is...

MISSOURI!!! We went to Vegas and interviewed and he even got accepted but we both feel strong about Missouri so that is the school that we picked. Tyler and I get to go back there the end of March and try and find a place to live. We are so excited! This means that if anyone wants to come visit us, then you are so welcome! We will probably move out there the end of July or beginning of August.

St. George!!!

We went to St. George last week. Tyler had his last interview in Vegas on Tuesday (he got accepted!) and then he flew home and me and the girls stayed to play for the rest of the week. It was a blast and the weather was perfect!
I couldn't get Annie to stay away from Grandma. She absolutely loves to be with her. And I couldn't get Hallie to stay with me for more than 5 minutes. She seems to think that when she is in St. George it means she has to stay away from me. But it is so good for her to be around all her cousins. She loves it. She cried from Provo until about an hour after we got home because she wanted to be back in St. George. It broke my heart to see her so sad.
Tyler came back down on Friday because my Brother Tyson and his wife Lori adopted a little boy and they had him sealed to them on Saturday. That was such a wonderful experience to be a part of. Since everyone was in town we also decided to finally get an updated family picture. We went up to the red hill and I also took a couple extra of some of the grandkids. We missed 5 of the grandkids but it was a good shot of getting all of them!

Annie: How to Potty Train

So this one has got poop and a naked baby in it. You have been warned (by a Warner no less).

Does anyone know how to customize?

I really want to customize our template but I have no idea how to. Does anyone know how that can teach me? I am really tired of the templates that blog spot has to offer but am not that great on the computer and can't seem to figure it out!
