Best News....

At least for me and my family! Tyler just informed me that the residency that he
will be doing is only 3 years not 4. What?!? How do you forget to tell your wife
this vital information. I almost cried when he told me. That means, we only have 4 years
and 4 months left until we are done! Not the 5 and 4 that I thought. I still am busting with
excitement and would probably cry if anyone asked me about it right now!

Who is who?

Who is who and which ones look alike?

Happenings in the Warner home

I love when we have fun little conversations with our kids and I get to post about them because it is so fun to go back and reread them. Tyler and I did that the other day for about an hour and just laughed at all that we had forgotten!
Last night I was doing homework with Hallie. Let me just say that it is not the easiest thing to do. She for some reason does not like doing homework and throws much fit about it. It usually ends up with Mom frustrated and Hallie crying. Last night was no different. She had to read a book and then answer questions about it, then write 3 of her own sentences. Here goes:

M: What do you want your 1st sentence to say?
H: "We like to play hide and seek together."
M: Ok, sound it out and then write it down.
H: How do you write "play"?
M: sound it out
H: p...l.....a.....ummmm.
M: Kindof a hard one, there is a y at the end of it.
H: y and then e
M: no there is no e at the end of it.
H: yes there is Mom, my teacher told me there was an e at the end of play.
M: Nope, I am pretty sure that I know how to spell play. Hey dad, how do you spell play?
D: P..L..A..Y
H: well, you are both wrong cause my teacher is way smarter than both of you and she told me it has an e at the end.
M: ok, write it down.

And then Annie's conversation the other night! We put them to bed and then 5 minutes later they both come walking into the kitchen:
H: I just came down to get my teddy bear.
A: and I just came down for nothing. (big smile!)

The other night Natalie sneezed a couple times and I hear from the other room from Annie "Mom, Nat just lessed youed!" She calls her sneezes lessed yous! Guess it comes from us saying bless you after she sneezes.

And Barry has just been screaming during all of this!

Finally....

Here are some pictures of Christmas and other random stuff during December.

We found fun places to read in!

Natalie just got sweeter and more loveable!
We went to a fun Christmas tree show with our friends in Pennsylvania.

Barry loved all the fun animals and lights

We shoveled the driveway more than once!

Hallie somehow thought posing for the camera was more fun than shoveling the walk!

Yes, we even put our 2 year old to work.
Tyler thought I was slacking on the job. It's not my fault his shovel
could hold more snow than mine!
Semi Family picture!
Christmas Eve Jammies!

I love Barry's eyes in this picture. He is always doing that!
After Santa came to our house. Yes, I was still awake after he came!
Annie dancing in her new dress! She added the veil to complete the outfit.
Our little man in his new wheels. This was the fav toy this year! It can surprise you how many kids can fit on it. 4 is our top right now!

And to finish it off with a cherry on top......

Good Bye 2010

It is amazing to me that a year can come and go so quick. We had so much happen in 2010 that is seems like a life time has gone by. Here are some of our favorites of the year:

*Found out we were having another baby
*Annie turned 4
*My mom and dad came to visit us in Kirksville. My Dad and Tyler ran the 5k and did great. Had a great time in Nauvoo with them.
*Hallie turned 6
*Jessica and Chris came to visit us in Kirksville and brought Layla (their dog) which my kids fell in love with. Oh and they brought their new baby Luke!
*Tyler finished his 2nd year of medical school
*Made the 22 hour drive to St. George for the first time. The kids are awesome travelers.
*Had a blast being with family for the summer
*Hallie and Annie became quiet excellent little swimmers and Barry found out he loved the water.
*Tyler took and passed his first set of Board tests
*Packed up everything we own and put it in a moving truck
*Said Good Bye to so many awesome friends and to Kirksville
*Drove to Ohio and found our new house. We all shouted with excitement as we crossed into Ohio!
*Grandma Warner saved us and flew out to help us unpack
*Tyler started his 3rd year of medical school. No more classroom time. He just follows the Doctors around now and tries to kiss butt!
*Made lots of new friends and kept some old ones
*Became good at living without a/c
* Grandpa Warner drove us a new car out from Utah! Loved having him with us
*found out Barry loves to ride wiggle cars and can beat anyone in a race on one
*learned to deal with gestational diabetes, not so bad as I thought it would be
*Hallie discovered training wheels are not for her. She also started 1st grade
*Said Good Bye to our dear, sweet Grandpa Goodwin
*Tyler turned 30!
*Welcomed sweet little Natalie into our family
*My Mom came to stay with us for 2 weeks. Such a blessing to have her in our lives
*Barry turned 2 and learned to throw tantrums
*Had a great Thanksgiving with our friends. Missed Family
* Survived Ob and Surgery Rotations
*I turned 32!
*Had the best Christmas Break ever
*Forgot to welcome the New Year at midnight but did shout out at 7:30 the next morning!

We are so excited for what the year 2011 will bring for our family. And even more excited to say that Tyler will graduate next year!!!!!

Memories

The girls and I had a night up while Tyler was doing a 24 shift. We watched "Flipper". This started a conversation that lasted throughout the whole movie so just to sum it up for you:

Annie: Mom, I want to go to Ohhiee.
Mom: Where is that Annie?
Annie: you know, where the ocean is.
Mom: Oh, do you mean Hawaii?
Annie: That is what I said mom, Ohhiee.
Mom: Maybe when Dad is all done with school and actually makes money we can go.
Hallie: Like when I am 12 or something?
Mom: Yep
Hallie: Good cause I am not ready to go swim with the fish yet.

The rest of the night was figuring out what fish and sharks where in the water and if it was safe for little girls to go there. Hallie is our little worrier so of course she doesn't want to go until knows it is safe for her to be in the water.

I love having little moments like these with my kids. And I love that they are old enough now to hang out with me while Tyler is working. Such a fun time right now.

In the end

It always turns out better than we hope for. We somehow learn things that we didn't know we needed to learn and when we look back we smile! Well, at least I did for yesterday. We had a great day. We played, watched movies, danced, and even wrote letters to Santa. And at 5 Dad came home! (the schedules got mixed up, not a 24 hr shift)
I loved having my kids home with me. It even made me want to keep Hallie home all the time. It is always more fun when she is with us. She was very good at entertaining us most of the day. I think she was a little giddy from skipping school. I think every kid needs a break from that every once in awhile.

Thanksgiving and Christmas found our house!

For Thanksgiving we had our awesome friends drive out from Kirksville. They must really love us to make the 13 hour drive! Plus, Aimee was 25 weeks prego with TWINS! Thanks for making the trip, we absolutely loved having you here!
We had 13 adults and 7 children. Pretty full house but it was a blast! The kids loved having there own little table!
Somehow I didn't get a picture of the food but believe me it was awesome! And can't forget the 2 dozen donuts we ate the day before! We found an amazing bakery that has mouth watering donuts that you can't just eat one!
Everyone hanging out with stuffed belly's
Tyler and Aimee Smith! Love you guys.
Ryan and Jack Jack chillin on the couch
It was one eternal sleepover for the kids. They loved sharing a room and waking up to each other. You should have heard the giggles every morning!
First off, this was at 1:45 a.m. so we are probably looking a little tired! Me, Aimee, and Christine! Of course we did the black friday shopping. Aimee and I drove to target at 4:50, saw the line and drove right back home. No stopping or nothing. Christine on the other hand was in line and waiting for us! She is such a trooper. Thanks for the great Thanksgiving Gals! Hope we get to do it again next year.

Christmas is the best time of year! We set up our tree and decorations and it feels Magical somehow. I really love this time of year, not to mention it also includes my birthday so that makes it all the better!
Where's Barry?
