Grandma Goodwin

My Grandma Goodwin passed away a week ago today and I thought I should share with you what I learned about her this week. First, I have always know my Grandma to be a sweet, caring person. Someone who would do anything for anyone. How could you not be that way with 7 children, 43 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. The amazing thing about her is that she always did it without the glory of doing it. She always had a way of making you feel like you were the only one who mattered to her. She was great at knowing everything that was going on with everyone in the family and always remembered everyone. She truly was our Angel sent from Heaven.
What I learned this week is what I would consider her greatest work on this earth. Her Testimony of our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know my Grandma has a strong testimony but the depth of it is amazing. As I heard of her life story and each event that took place in it, I saw her testimony in all that she did. What faith she had and what a legacy she left for each of us. She came to earth to teach us but little did I realize the impact she would have. Her testimony will forever burn strong in me and in each that she taught. Each time I hear the words of "I know that my Redeemer lives," I will hear her testimony over again and know that she lived her life to show that. What a blessing it is for me to have had such a wonderful Grandma. To have known someone who was and is so close with our Savior will be one gift that I will treasure throughout my life. I hope that my children will be blessed to feel of that love that she has left.
We love you Grandma and will miss you greatly.

I just read your families blogs and I totally miss them. I feel so blessed to have known them all so well. I love your family and think of them as my second family. (besides Drew's, of course) Thanks for being such a good example to me. Your grandma would be very proud!
