Reporting In...

First week of Kindergarten is over and boy do we love it! We had a rough start on day one because during art Hallie decided she loved her new scissors so much that she would cut her own hair. Oh the days of being care free and doing all those fun things that we imagine in our cute little heads! Her teacher sent me the hair home in a ziploc bag along with a note explaining what happened. It went as follows:

Mr. and Mrs. Warner,
My name is Mrs. Helm a
nd I was Mrs. Boren's substitute today. Hallie cut her hair today during a cutting activity. She cut quite a chunk. We talked about scissors being only for paper. I hope this was the only time since she has such a cute hair cut. I'm sorry I couldn't catch her before it happened.

She was upset about it but don't worry Hallie, hair grows back and we all learn the hard way of what things we shouldn't do. You are still the best little kindergartener I know and I know your teacher still loves you ( so do I, to the moon and back)

Tyler is now a second year medical student and we are now the big kids on campus. To show this, all the guy students grew an "osteostache". Here is Tyler before he cut the official stache and then the lovely after shot. It was a hard month of letting him grow it out. I tried really hard to be happy about it but it really taught me that I love a clean shaven guy. It was fun seeing all the students with their Osteostaches and seeing the excitement of being the new 2nd years. And being the great husband that he is, he shaved the minute ( or 20 min.) he got home and looked so young again!

Well, if this computer would let me finish. ...so funny that she would cut her hair. Lucky it wasn't her bangs up to her scalp. I agree, I like my husband clean shaven too!

I have to say Tyler, you look good w/ a beard (Sorry Bree)! I didn't think you had it in you, but I was WAY wrong!

BTW, Congrats on the second year. I'm starting as a noob tomorrow.

Bree, I totally know what you mean about it being a hard month while Tyler grew out his facial hair. I don't like kissing Wade when he has a scratchy face either. But you gotta admit it's a sweet lookin osteostache! :) So sorry about Hallie's hair. I would be devastated if Emily did that. Good luck fixing it. I bet she'll look super cute with it even shorter.

She had a substitute on the first day? What is that about. No wonder she cut her hair J/K I am glad it was fixable. Tyler on the other hand looks very scary and intimidating (sp) with his stach and I am glad that he is clean shaven again. Love ya
