Just Because...

I am in the mood to journal something, which means you get an update on us! I drove to pick up Hallie from school and I put in the Christmas C.D. (just felt like it!) and the kids loved it. Barry started dancing, Annie was trying to sing along to it, and Hallie was thoughtfully starring out the window (she is my thinker). This really made me excited for the Holiday Season to come. I have been dreading it because that means that cold, cold, and even colder weather is on the way. I hope we make it through it.
Tyler- is in his 5th quarter and only has 2 left before we get to move on and start another fun part of medical school. Which, of course, means moving again. We will find out in a week and a little bit where we are going so we will tell you as soon as we know! Tyler is doing so well in school and is already a great Doctor! His brain is so full of useful information now that it amazes me sometimes when I hear him talk about some of the stuff he knows.
Bree- I am running the half marathon this Saturday in Kansas City. I feel so ready for it and am beyond excited to run it. I am running with 3 awesome girls and they have been so much fun to train with. ( Good luck Megan, Aimee, and Angel) I am really hoping to do it under 2 hours but will be happy with just finishing!
Hallie- is having so much fun in school. She is soaking up all this learning stuff and absolutely loves it. She is usually up in the morning sitting at her little table writing her letters while Dad is studying too. Her hand writing is getting so good and she is constantly asking how to spell words. She also is learning to recognize words like: The, I, Am, Me, Bike, Like,You, I guess you get the picture.
Annie- is as ornery as ever but we still get a kick out of her. I think she is going through a "ME" stage and does not get why she is not supposed to push and bite Barry. She is getting so good at riding her bike and loves to dance. I do a little dance class for her and some other little girls and she loves it. I think Annie would dance all day if you let her. She has already made her christmas list for me and adds to it each day.
Barry- Is still crawling and is now sleeping through the night (well most nights) If it were not for those dang teeth that keep coming in. He is so much happier now that he can get around. He also has figured out how to sit up from laying down. This makes for some interesting times at night. It is quite funny to go in and see him sitting there but still trying to sleep. He always lets out a small sigh of relief when we lay him back down.

Good Luck with the half marathon!! I wish I were doing it with you. I miss you all a ton, and I wish I could see Barry trying to sleep and sit up at the same time.

Good luck Bree! I can't tell you how bad I wish I was running with you but unlike you I don't feel ready in anyway so I'll keep it up and hopefully one day.

Tyler-I liked your post on facebook about not getting sick. I agree with you only not because we have to learn about it but because with kids getting the sickeness it is the biggest stress I have. But at least I know you have studied them so you'll know what I need to do, right?
