Sometimes I get set in our little life and think all is going great (or not so great sometimes) but realize that the Lord has completely different plans for us. As many of you know, Tyler signed a contract with Nephi, Utah to work at their hospital when he was done with residency. Well, after a very long, lonely, depressing winter we decided to think about moving our little family to the same town that Tyler does his residency in. We started house hunting and praying about what we should do. After much prayer and thought we decided it was best for us to move. We found a house and signed the lease and started packing our stuff into those dang boxes again.
A week away from moving, Tyler's dad calls him and tells him he needs to reconsider staying in Ohio after residency. Better pay, great people to work with and so on. I told him no way. We are moving back to Utah. Our kids need it. I need it. I am ready to be home. Next day, I ask Tyler if he wants to stay here and work. NO...I want my kids to grow up with friends I know and trust. I tell him that I trust him and will go with him wherever he needs to be. Conference weekend comes...a lot about missionary work. One talk specifically talks about blooming where you are planted."One
thing we have often been taught is to bloom where we are planted. Yet
sometimes we are tempted to migrate to some new area, thinking our
children will have more friends and therefore better youth programs."Elder Stanley Ellis April conference 2013.
Again, we talked about what we need to be doing. And then we couldn't stop talking about it. We say many prayers and ask for guidance. I got my answer and I know that we need to stay in Ohio. I am not going to lie...I shed many tears and had a breakdown or two. But after Tyler got his answer to, we both felt so peaceful and right about it.
So, after all is said and done, we will be staying in East Liverpool, Ohio for the next 7 years (he signed a 5 year contract with them). I have really learned to trust the Lord in all that happens in my life. I know that for some reason we need to stay here. I know that it will be hard and there will be many times I wish we could go back home. But we have a new home for the next little while and I know that my little family will be very blessed for it.
It is an exciting adventure that we get to go on together. We have already had so many opportunities to share the gospel and I know we will have many more. Such an exciting time to be living the gospel. I am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful work!

I know exactly how you feel. I'm so excited for all your adventures. It's crazy how comforting answers to prayers can be. I know you guys are going to be the best missionaries wherever you are planted! Can't wait to see you this summer.
It truly is a very exciting time to be living the Gospel! It takes such faith to turn to the Lord and ask if there is a better path to take. The Warner Family can do this, it's a cake walk for you guys!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Bree for posting! Please keep it up so people can see your cute family.
Change is good for the people who get to keep you around them longer ;) Not so much for us though.
Your one amazing wife and mother Bree, you'll do wonderful at blooming in your new/old town and help make a difference with the people you meet. It may be a hard few years, but it'll be so worth it! Can't wait to come see you in 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!
I agree with marci, POST MORE!
At least you have me out here in the summers:) jk I am happy you guys have a good job out here that makes it a little bit less hard for you.
What wonderful examples you are to the rest of us! For putting your faith in the Lord, and accepting the answer when its not what you want. We of course will miss you terribly, but are so happy and excited for what's in store for you all!
Bree even though I knew that you were staying I still cried as I read this. I too have had those prayers answered that say I have to stay away from family for a time. It is hard but I know that the Lord WILL bless you for it. Your children will be blessed with friends that they will love and they will be blessed with missionary opportunities disguised as friends and they won't even realize they are doing it. It will make them strong and maybe with time the Lord will see fit to guide you back. Maybe it will even be to St George where you can immerse yourself in family. Who knows but I can tell you it will be a challenge that will be filled with blessings. I love you!
Way to put your faith and trust in the Lord even when the reasons for doing so are unknown! You are a great example to many! We love you and will definitely miss not having you in Utah, but know you will be blessed in your decision. Good luck!
Oohhh...why does what we want never seem to line up with what the Lord wants?!?! I suppose it is because that is what this life is all about, aligning our wills with that of the Father and placing our lives in His hands. It sure isn't easy. Thank you for your wonderful examples!
